New York Tri-State Chapter welcomes two new board members

The Chapter is pleased to announce that Kirsten Reoch and Maxwell Lent joined its board in March. They bring unique backgrounds that will help move the organization’s education and advocacy activities forward.

DOCOMOMO US one of eight organizations to sue over Kennedy Center plans

On March 23, eight architectural and preservation organizations filed a lawsuit to block the Trump administration’s plans to drastically alter the Kennedy Center without federal review or Congressional approval. The plaintiffs seek a preliminary injunction to prevent irreversible damage to the historic landmark, citing the President’s threat to strip the building “down to the steel.” 

Glass House Tour Season Opens

They’re back! The Glass House is now booking tours for its 2026 season which runs through mid December. This year the Brick House will be part of every tour—and there are many formats to pick from. Photographers take note! There will be six Golden Hours tours to catch the Glass House at sunset.

2026 Modernism in America Awards

Nominations are open for the 13th Modernism in America Awards. Across three categories—design, inventory/survey, and advocacy—the awards recognize and celebrate the documentation, preservation and reuse of modern buildings, structures and landscapes built in the US or on U.S. territory. The early nomination deadline is Thursday, May 7.
