The 18th Docomomo International Conference will take place in Santiago, Chile, in December 2024 with the overarching theme “Modern Futures: Sustainable development and cultural diversity.” Submissions for sessions are being accepted through September 1, 2023 and a Call for Papers will follow.

The Cape Cod Modern House Trust is working toward the goal of purchasing Marcel Breuer’s house in Wellfleet, MA. The project aims to raise $1.4 million to secure and prevent the demolition of the home, as well as preserve and archive Breuer’s collection of art, furniture, books, and photographs. Another goal the Trust has for Breuer’s home is to add it to the National Register of Historic Places. Although the home is the most significant modern home on the Cape, it is still very much at risk of demolition if it were to be listed on the open real estate market.
