Finland proposes 13 Alvar Aalto sites for UNESCO World Heritage List
The Finnish Heritage Agency is proposing 13 modern Finnish buildings or districts designed by Alvar Aalto (1898–1976) be added to the UNESCO World Heritage List as a body of work. The buildings represent the global cultural heritage of modern architecture, but also Aalto’s humane, modern architecture centered on the individual and community.
