The Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy’s Wright Virtual Visits online series will visit the Pope-Leighey House, a 1939 Usonian house in Mount Vernon, VA. Wright designed the Pope-Leighey House for Loren and Charlotte Pope in Falls Church, VA in the 1940s. The home was saved from demolition by the second owner, Marjorie Leighey, when it was moved to the grounds of the Woodlawn Plantation in the 1960s. Today, visitors can explore the only Frank Lloyd Wright home open to the public in the D.C. area and be inspired by Wright’s Usonian architecture and a vision for affordable, well-designed housing.
Thursday September 12, 1:00 – 1:30 pm ET
The event streams live at 1 pm ET on Facebook.
