Docomomo US’s 2025 Theodore Prudon Preservation Education Fund Grant Recipient

June 29, 2025

The Theodore Prudon Fund for Preservation Education is a grant program established by Docomomo US to honor the legacy of its founding president, Theodore Prudon. The fund is dedicated to advancing the field of modern preservation by supporting graduate students pursuing degrees in historic preservation. The scholarship awards $4,000 annually during the spring semester to one recipient, along with a one-year Docomomo US student membership and complimentary registration to the Docomomo US National Symposium.

The 2025 grant recipient is Sonya Sehgal, an emerging conservation professional and a Master of Science candidate in Historic Preservation at the University of Texas. As the first-ever recipient of this grant, Sonya represents the next generation of preservationists committed to protecting modern architectural heritage. The funding will support her continued academic and professional development in the field.
