UNESCO Inscribes Aalto works and modern architecture in Uzbekistan to World Heritage List

UNESCO has added more modern architecture to the World Heritage List. The 2026 inscriptions include 13 works by Alvar, Aino, and Elissa Aalto in Finland, a collection of 10 modernist sites in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and an expansion to Berlin’s Waldsiedlung Zehlendorf housing estate listing.
