The Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy’s Wright Virtual Visits online event series will visit the Historic Park Inn Hotel, the only hotel designed by Wright still in operation, in Mason City, IA. Originally constructed as a mixed-use building, it featured a hotel, bank, law office, and other commercial spaces. After falling into disrepair, the hotel underwent a meticulous restoration in the early 2000s, restoring it to its former glory and preserving its historic significance.

The Historic Park Inn Hotel holds significant historical importance in Mason City as a landmark of architectural and cultural heritage, attracting visitors from around the world. Additionally, as the last remaining Frank Lloyd Wright-designed hotel, it is a prized gem in his portfolio, showcasing his innovative Prairie School architectural style and timeless design principles.
