Park Avenue is the epicenter of corporate Modernism. During this tour AIA NY Tour led by DOCOMOMO NY/Tri-State board member Kyle Johnson, participants will view Modern masterpieces by Gordon Bunshaft and Natalie de Blois of SOM, Mies van der Rohe’s Seagram Building, as well as Modern office buildings by Emery Roth & Sons and others. Also included are a distinguished Art Deco tower, a Morris Lapidus-designed hotel, and late Modern and Postmodern designs by Edward Larrabee Barnes, Philip Johnson, and I. M. Pei.
