In honor of the upcoming Mother’s Day weekend, The Martin House (Frank Lloyd Wright, 1903–1907) in Buffalo, NY, has planned a one-night only event inspired by the women of the Martin House. The evening begins with a glass of champagne in the visitor center, with glorious views of the buildings and landscape. Enjoy the informative displays and marvel at the early evening views.
Next, explore the house through the lens of the women who lived and worked within the house, while also exploring the changing times for women in the US around the turn of the 20th century. The 90-minute, docent-led tour will visit special places in the Martin House including the Guest Suite on the 2nd floor and the ballroom in the lower level.
Thursday May 11, 5:30pm and 6:00pm
