The definition of the term “modern” is elusive. Bob Gregson explores the idea of modern and what it has meant in the 20th century from high style to pop culture.
With an emphasis on design and play, Gregson aims for his art to create a link between viewer and creator. The former creative director of the CT Department of Culture & Tourism, he received a BFA from the Hartford Art School and an MFA from the Art Institute of Chicago. His art has been displayed in New York, Chicago, and Washington D.C, and featured in collections at the New Britain Museum and the Housatonic Museum of Art. He teaches, and is the author and illustrator of multiple books for educators that instruct on games, art, and play. The talk is free.
