Architect and developer Bruce Becker leads a hard-hat tour of his new hotel, the Marcel, in New Haven, CT. The building, designed by Marcel Breuer, and previously the historic Pirelli Tire Building (1967–1970), is in the final stages of conversion to a boutique hotel featuring 165 rooms, a restaurant, gallery, and meeting space. With its unique geometric design, the hotel utilizes high-tech materials and technologies for exceptionally high energy efficiency. It has been named the first Passive House certified hotel in the United States. Visit this sustainable masterpiece and learn about Becker’s plans for Hotel Marcel’s future.
