Join Fred Noyes for a presentation on the legacy of his father, architect and industrial designer Eliot Noyes. Eliot is famous for his work at MoMA, IBM, and Mobil, and for his design of incredible architecture in New Canaan and elsewhere. Architect and teacher, Fred Noyes was raised in New Canaan and attended Harvard University. Growing up, he was surrounded by renowned modern architects, including Marcel Breuer and Philip Johnson, friends and colleagues of his father. Learn about the architect Mary “Molly” Duncan Weed (1915–2010), Eliot Noyes’s wife, who created many of the interiors for his projects. The talk will focus on the significance of the Noyes Family in architecture and industrial design.
