Bauhaus 1919-1933: Origins and Evolution

Mark Markiewicz, AIA, explores the origins and evolution of the Bauhaus movement (1919-1933). Learn about the personalities involved, and the impact the movement had on art, architecture, and design. Architect and former President of the New Canaan Museum & Historical Society, Markiewicz graduated from Princeton and has served as the lead designer on numerous buildings.

This event is part of October4design, New Canaan, Connecticut’s, month-long celebration of architecture, art, design and the community where it happens. Organized by the New Canaan Museum & Historical Society, New Canaan’s diverse creative community will open its doors to offer a peek into what gives this town its distinct character through panel discussions, Q&As, tours and lectures.
