Frick Madison Farewell Tour

Attend a special, private farewell tour of Marcel Breuer and Hamilton Smith’s iconic Upper East Side building, originally built for the Whitney Museum of American Art. First opened to the public 57 years ago, it is now in its last days of use as an art museum. This DOCOMOMO US/New York Tri-State tour will examine the building’s history and consider how it has been adapted to meet the needs of two prominent museums—The Met and Frick Madison—since the Whitney Museum moved out.
