Lenses: Ways of Seeing Buffalo and Its Architecture is a collaboration between the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, the Buffalo History Museum, the Lipsey Architecture Center Buffalo, and Preservation Buffalo Niagara, and is both based upon, and placed in counterpoint to, Henry-Russell Hitchcock, Jr.’s 1940 exhibition about Buffalo’s architecture.

Mohamed Elshahed leads an in-depth virtual tour of the Cairo Modern exhibition, which is now open at the AIANY Center for Architecture until March 12. The exhibition showcases works by Egyptian modernists from the 1920s to the 1970s, half a century of rich architectural production that complicate our present understanding of global modernism.
