The Village of Southampton on Long Island recently proposed the designation of four modern homes including the Sugarman House (1964) by Ward Bennett, the Bliss House (1979) by Norman Jaffe, Conason House (1984) by Myron Goldfinger, and the Cohen House (1983) by Norman Jaffe. DOCOMOMO US/New York Tri-State submitted a letter supporting Southampton’s efforts to preserve these architectural legacies.

The DOCOMOMO US/New York Tri-State Symposium Grants will provide financial support for students and emerging professionals committed to the documentation and conservation of Modern Movement buildings, landscapes, and sites. The deadline for submission is Sunday, April 7, 2024.
