One of the nation’s most important postwar landscape architects, Dan Kiley (1912–2004) collaborated with equally significant architects, including Eero Saarinen, Kevin Roche, Louis Kahn, and I.M. Pei. This traveling photographic exhibition features 45 photographs, which chronicle the current state of 27 of Kiley’s more than 1,000 projects worldwide.
Through April 7. Harry Bertoia: Sculpture for Living features 15 exemplary sculptures and furniture designs created by Harry Bertoia, some never-before publicly exhibited. Drawn from the collection of the Harry Bertoia Foundation, including a selection of tonal sculptures from the so-called Sonambient Barn on the artist’s property in Pennsylvania, as well as from select private and public collections.

Peterson who will speak about his new book US Embassies of the Cold War: the Architecture of Democracy, Diplomacy and Defense. Peterson’s talk will expand on the little-known story of the US State Department’s bid to win international hearts and minds through the strategic use of modernist architecture and cultural diplomacy.
